Pastor Zach Johnson
I have been saved since I was 6 years old. My father was a pastor, and I grew up knowing all about Jesus and what He had done for me. On September 22, 1990 I realized that I needed a Savior and asked Christ to save me in the Shoney’s parking lot in the West End of Huntington.
When I was 16, I went on a short term mission trip to Costa Rica that changed my life! It was there that God began dealing with my heart about ministry. I ended up going to Pensacola Christian College where I met my wonderful wife, Angie. We got married in 2005, and we have 2 children, Grace and James.
I finished my Associates of Biblical Studies through Andersonville Theological Seminary, and I began working as the Director of Youth Missions for the Gospel Preacher Association. We take groups of young people on short term mission trips around the world to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
In December 2013 God began working on my heart about pastoring at Burlington Baptist Church. I am thrilled to be the new pastor here, and I’m praying that God would use what little I have to offer for His glory!
